    Brandywine is looking for an experienced commercial leasing attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will draft and negotiate various commercial leases and related documents, and assist in maintaining and growing Brandywine’s real property portfolio. The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience with lease agreements and other landlord documents for commercial office properties. Additional retail and other types of leasing are a plus. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be expected to build positive client relationships with diplomacy and provide insightful and timely counsel.

    Responsibilities

    • Draft and negotiate leases, lease amendments, and other lease-related documents.
    • Provide counsel to construction team on construction contracts for leasehold improvements.
    • Provide counsel to leasing agents on lease proposals and commission agreements.
    • Advise business teams regarding leasing matters and other real estate issues.
    • Assisting with transactional and other real estate matters, such as acquisitions and dispositions.

    Qualifications

    • J.D. with excellent academic credentials and top-tier law firm experience preferred.
    • Minimum of five years’ legal experience with significant leasing experience.
    • Excellent drafting and analytical skills, strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, ability to work independently.
    • Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively, being resourceful and taking on additional responsibility.
    • State Bar Admission in any of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland, or Texas.
