    Brandywine is seeking a growth oriented, well rounded real estate professional to manage and oversee the development and activities within our portfolio.


    The incumbent will be known as a market leader and who has credibility and experience in development and operations. Strong managerial, interpersonal skills and leadership qualities are important, as well as proven transactional experience and the ability to close. The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects and respond to critical timelines. They must be self-driven, highly motivated, goal-oriented to grow and develop in the future and want to be a key player in NJ, DC and PA commercial real estate scene.


    The Vice President’s specific responsibilities and duties under the direction of the President/CEO include, but are not limited to the following:


    • Directs, coordinates and implements activities of departments or divisions for which responsibility is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives.
    • Evaluates results of operation of department or division regularly, and systematically reports results to senior management.
    • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
    • Confers with senior staff members and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
    • Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
    • May serve as member of management committees on special studies.
    • Source potential development transactions which meet BDN criteria.
    • Track and monitor market transactions and conditions – define trends for executive management.
    • Oversee joint venture development projects in other markets as needed – go vertical as conditions permit.
    • Build a staff of operating professionals commensurate with the portfolio size and activities.
    • Bottom-line profit and loss responsibility for project conceptualization, planning, permitting, market and financial analysis, financing, interface with design and construction and successfully develop or redevelop real estate.
    • Represent BDN as a visible and active member of the commercial real estate community.
    • Be thoroughly familiar with local and outlying markets and properties.
    • Understand market trends and opportunities to develop initiatives and strategies to take advantage of these trends.
    • Source and analyze the feasibility of potential development sites and evaluate associated development schemes.
    • Provide comprehensive leadership on new acquisitions, from sourcing through closing, including investment strategy and assumptions, diligence, working with the capital markets to structure investment, and the selection of appropriate leasing agents.
    • This position may have supervisory responsibilities.


    • Minimum of 10–15 years of working experience, preferably in real estate development, investments, lending or project management.
    • Progressive responsibility and experience in the New Jersey/Pennsylvania marketplace, working within the commercial real estate industry.
    • Proven supervisory/managerial experience.
    • Familiarity with revaluation techniques, using ARGUS and Excel valuation models.
    • Team player.
    • Ability to multi-task numerous assignments and prioritize.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of personnel, including executive management, and potential brokers and sellers.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Solid presentation skills.
    • Internally motivated.
    • Strong sense of ethics and fair dealing; favorable reputation in the market place.
    • Good business judgment and ability to gauge and quantify investment and development returns.
    • Frequent travel throughout the NJ/PA regions possible travel in DC/TX.


    •  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Engineering or a related field is required.
    •  MBA or Masters in Finance, Real Estate, or related field is a strong plus.
