Overview

Manages and coordinates activities, development planning and administrative activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

Responsibilities

  • Serves on delegated projects as project development lead with primary daily responsibility for project scheduling, including coordination of work assignments by both external and internal development team members. Duties include daily, weekly and monthly monitoring of construction schedule, budgets, contractors, quality control and compliance with project’s Basis of Design (BOD).

 

  • Manages, coordinates and implements overall activities for projects for which responsibility is delegated.

 

  • Continually assess the planning process to improve outcomes and reports results to senior management.

 

  • For the Company’s development activities, participate in formulating and administering company policies and developing both short-term and long-range goals and objectives.

 

  • Analyzes activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine and report progress toward stated goals and objectives.

 

  • Must have the ability to organize multiple components of complex projects in order to efficiently and effectively prosecute daily tasks and ultimately achieve strategic objectives.

 

  • Must have the ability to identify qualitative design and sustainability attributes as well as quantitatively assess project metrics.

 

  • Confers with senior development staff to review goal achievement and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.

 

  • Represents the company with utmost integrity in all endeavors, both externally and internally.

 

  • Displays initiative to proactively address and solve Company business challenges or recognize moments of opportunity from the mundane to the complex when dealing with employees, consultants and tenants.

 

  • As delegated by supervisor, interacts with customers and prospective customers in order to grow and maintain Brandywine relationships.

 

  • Works effectively with internal and external development and construction team members to establish hard costs, site costs, soft costs and works at the direction of direct supervisor to establish project budgets.

 

  • May also serve as project manager for new construction of internal finish and design work for mixed-use buildings including serving as company liaison with initial tenants from construction of tenant improvements through move-in.

 

  • May also serve as company representative with regulatory agencies and civic organizations on land development approvals for new/existing sites including state and city planners, zoning officials, and approval boards.

 

  • Must have superior communication skills, both oral and written.

Qualifications

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May directly or indirectly supervise project manager(s), assistant project manager(s), development associate(s), and or consultants. 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) required.

Master's degree (M. A. / M.B.A) or Architecture / Land Planning degree or equivalent is a plus

Ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
